Cabins
The Hotel-Ship ALTODOURO has 24 double cabins, divided between two decks: 16 cabins in the Upper Deck and 8 cabins in the Main Deck.

The Ship has 3 types of cabins:

- 1 Suite in Upper deck – area of 20.8 m2
- 15 Twins in the Upper deck – area of 12.2 m2 each cabin
- 8 Twins in the Main deck with private balconies – area of 10 m2

All cabins have private bathrooms equiped with shower (except for the Suite which has a bathtub).
They are also equiped with air conditioning and heating devices.
All cabins are faced to the outside. Cabins in the Upper Deck have windows, while Main Deck cabins have sliding glass door that give access to the private balcony.
All cabins are equiped with two single beds that can be placed together as a double bed or separated. 

Public Areas

- Restaurant – 8 rectangular tables for 6 people each
- Bar – decorated with 4 fixed corner sofas for 8 people each and 4 sets of 4 single sofas
- Hall – where the Ship’s Reception and Gift Shop are located

 

Safety


For Douro Azul passengers’ safety is very important. DouroAzul complies thoroughly with the requirements established by competent authorities.


In a few words it should be mentioned that all ships of the fleet are equiped, among other equipments, with electronic navigation systems, several communication bands, life jackets both for adults and children, rafts, floats, fire detection and extinguishing devices (fixed and movable), a complete on board pharmacy capable of answering to first aid situations.


All DouroAzul crew members are have first aid, fire prevention and suppression, survival techniques and personal safety and social responsibilities courses.


Emergency drills supervised by a safety officer are carried out periodical and regularly in order to practice and motivate the crews for all and any emergency situation.


Every year are carried out emergency drills in which several entities participate such as the Port Authority, Fire Department (professional and volunteer), INEM (National Institute of Medical Emergency), Civil Protection, among other entities, in order to test in real time the intervention of the several emergency entities.
