Cinfães

Cinf?es has always attracted peoples that have left its landmarks; remains of community life in some more traditional villages: the Roman Bridge (Murteira), medieval ruins (Portas de Montemuro), the gallows, two pillories (Cinf?es and Nespereira), Romanesque churches (Tarouquela, Cinf?es, Escamar?o) and the Covelas Bridge in the same style.

The landscape is unforgettable and game and fishing are also available.
Among other water sports that take place in the Cabrum, Bestan?a and Paiva tributaries, highlight for canoeing, hidrospeed and canyoning.
Next to Cinf?es is the located the quay and parish of Porto Antigo where on the riverbank is the hostel with the name. On the north bank of the Douro River one can see the parish of Pala and its elegant viaduct as well as the parish of Porto Manso.

Respect should be paid to the roast kid, sausages and wine from the region.
As far as handicraft is concerned basket weaving and tinplate industry are welcomed as well as the wood and leather clogs and the weaving.
